Jennifer and the Choker Explosion

Summer of 1997 was the first year my family hosted Japanese exchange students. Michihiro stayed with us that year. There were several funny stories, but the one I'm sharing today took place at the mall. One of the field trips was to a 'real American Mall'. Well, going to the mall is always fun for teenage girls (Jennifer and I fit this category) and Jennifer decided to wear a beaded choker. When we got to the mall, I noticed that it was sagging a bit so I helped her tighten it. 5-10 minutes later she sneezed, and the choker exploded! All around us we heard the sound of beads hitting the linoleum. This story always makes me laugh because I feel a little bit guilty. It was my fault that the choker was too tight.

Old Memories

I have not been good about keeping a good journal (I know you are all SHOCKED! because of the tremendous job I've done keeping this blog up-to-date). Since my memory's been so bad lately, I've decided to blog events that I remember to have some record of them. They'll have the tag old memories'. I'm hoping this will inspire Wilson to contribute!

Saturday BBQ

We went to the Elder's Quorum BBQ on Saturday. It was fun and the weather was perfect for being outside. Henry loved 'jumping' on the trampoline, especially when Wilson was holding him.

No pictures accompany this post. Wilson took the camera camping last weekend and forgot it in his dad's truck. Fortunately, anticipating this sort of event, all the pictures taken before the camping trip were saved onto my computer. We have lots of videos, but I haven't saved them to computer yet, or figured out how to post them. Someday!

No big plans for this week, but looking forward to 4th of July!
