Pioneer Day

If only I lived in Utah, then I would have had the day off! As Californians, we take Ceser Chavez day instead. (Except that I don't get any time off between February and April 15th!)

Fireworks

Sitting with Henry while watching fireworks reminded me of sitting with Bethany fifteen years ago. It was Beth's first Fourth of July. We sat on the curb and watched the neighbors light off their fireworks. Beth fell asleep part way through. That was a nice night.
